Bromyard Riding Club Camp 2012
Bromyard Riding Club Camp for 2012 will be held at Bow House Farm Equestrian Centre between the dates of Friday 11 – Sunday 13 May 2012. The cost for the three days training, stabling and use of all the facilities will be £140 per rider. In addition to this there is a cost for the catereers of £42.50 per rider(see below for details).
So total cost for three days for training, stable, facilities and riders meals is £182.50.
Bow House Farm is situated in Bishops Castle in Shropshire and is owned by Caroline and J.P. who will also be our trainers for the three days. Both J.P. and Caroline have many years teaching experience, from the novice rider to advanced eventers and show jumpers. Both compete regularly at affiliated eventing, show jumping and dressage. J.P. has ridden at both Badminton and Burghley, and has won at advanced medium dressage.
Bow House offer a range of facilities which include:
60 x 40m arena
50 x 30m arena
23 x 45m arena
XC Jumps with jumps from 1ft to 3ft3”, water, jumps Show jumps and arena XC fences
Various stables
All stables are deep litter shavings. Bow House will ensure they are clean and have fresh shavings in ready for us to use. You will need to bring mucking out things, hay, feed etc. Bow House can sell hay or haylage if needed.
For the riders there are 2 loos and a very good shower on the stable yard. Also 2 porta-loos will be hired to go in the camping field as Bow House like to shut the gates into the stabling area at approx 22:00 so the horses can rest.
In the camp field there is a marquee with picnic benches, comfy chairs and a light.
For the riders refreshments, Bow House get caterers in for the weekend and they provide breakfast, lunch, and an evening meal. There is also tea and coffee facilities and cake will be served as a snack before the evening meal. The cost for this is an extra £42.50 for the three days. This is an optional cost and you can opt to cater for yourselves however Bow House recommend that all riders participate in it as it helps the camp to become more social and enjoyable for all.
Caroline and J.P. will organise and run the camp and from speaking to them it is apparent that it will be very social and a fun few days away with your horse.
If the above is of interest to you then this is when you need to take action quickly. Basically the above camp is open to everyone (not only BDRC members) and therefore Bow House will only accept the first 20 cheques and then that is it, it is full. So what you need to do if interested is go on to Bow House Website and read the details and fill in the form and send it to Bow House ASAP. Like I say they will only accept the first 20 cheques!
Just so you know I will be sending my cheque today so will start the ball rolling, it is now up to you ….. Other people that have been very interested are Allison James, Margaret Davies, Alli Haynes, Janet Rogers, Kay Newman, Carol Roberts, Lorraine Proctor, Wendy Robinson, Jill Cartlidge, Margie Thorneycroft, Penny Gilbert and Chloe Hayward etc. So if we all go it will be good fun. Please can I ask that if you do send your cheque please can you send me an email to let me know how many BDRC members will be attending.
If you have been on to the Bow House website you will see that BDRC were/are booked in for the 18 – 20 May weekend however due to not being able to have J.P and Caroline train us that weekend we have decided to go for the weekend before. This will be removed in due course.
